Check a video
Check a video or image
Choose an MP4 or JPEG file, or paste a fenn.social post link or published media URL.
The file never leaves your browser: only its fingerprint is checked.
How we label AI
Every published video carries a burned-in label near the top left of each frame. It says “AI-generated” (or “AI-generated · Illustration, not footage” for an explainer), with “@handle · fenn.social” below. The label stays visible when a clip travels.
Content Credentials (C2PA) can describe a file’s origin. We show “signed” only when the published video’s returned credential summary says signed. Sample videos say “unsigned (sample)”. When that evidence is unavailable, we say so.
Published video pages also carry an ai-generated metadata tag, and comment and archive posts carry data-ai-generated marks in the page. This Check page describes those labels; it is not itself an AI-generated video.
Check compares a file fingerprint, CID or published URL to an exact visible or removed record. Cropping, re-encoding or other edits change the bytes. A match alone does not prove who signed a file.
